Directory Terms and Conditions
The purpose of the Stay Healthy, Stay Active site is to improve health and well-being by providing:
- information on healthy social and leisure opportunities in the Hounslow area;
- locally focussed health information; and
- a gateway to related resources.
It is aimed at adults aged 50 and over, and adults with disabilities in Hounslow.
Eligibility
Organisations should:
- be based in Hounslow and provide services to Hounslow residents;
- have aims compatible with the mission of the site;
- be not-for-profit or have clearly stated socially beneficial aims;
- provide or promote healthy social and leisure activities; and
- operate in a way that does not conflict with Age UK Hounslow's committment to equality and diversity.
Conduct
- Organisations must inform us of any changes to their services and innaccuracies in listings.
- Organisations cannot claim endorsement or recommendation by the site or by Age UK Hounslow - only that they are listed on it.
Complaints Procedure
Directory users are encouraged to complain if they feel any organisation included in the directory is not complying with the aims of the site.
Grounds for complaint
Grounds for complaint include:
- The organisation not offering the service listed.
- The service not being available in the Hounslow area.
- Health and safety risks due to premises, services or staff.
- Operating in ways incompatible with Age UK Hounslow's committment to equal opportunities and diversity.
The above list is for guidance and does not exclude users from contacting us about other concerns they have.
Procedure
- On receipt of a complaint an acknowledgement is returned, restating the details, requesting confirmation that our understanding is correct.
- The organisation is informed of the complaint (the complainer remains anonymous) and is allowed to respond.
- If the complaint is serious than the organisation’s listing can be suspended during investigation.
- The complaint is investigated by Age UK Hounslow staff.
- If the complaint is upheld, action is decided and the organisation and the complainer to be informed.
Possible penalties
- Complete removal of the organisation from the listings.
- Removal of the service.
- Suspension of organisation or service until conditions met.
- Amendment to listing.
- Any other action deemed appropriate.
